15 Loyal Personnel Listed on Heritage Builders Wall
Fifteen names of long-serving faculty and staff of Silliman University who have passed on will be unveiled on August 26. Their names are etched in plates and will be added to the list of personnel previously honored on the Heritage Builders Wall.
Located at the south lawn of the Silliman Hall, the Heritage Builders Wall recognizes the contributions of faculty and staff members who have dedicated their life to the University for at least two decades. They are regarded as among those from whom Silliman draws inspiration in developing further its facilities, programs, and services.
This year, Silliman honors the memory of the following: Zoe R. Lopez, instructor at the then School of Music and Fine Arts (47 years of service); Narciso P. Majarocon, associate professor at the College of Business Administration (44 years of service); Montserrat A. Dato, associate professor at the College of Law (40 years of service); Lope G. Navarrete, staff at the Mathematics Department (40 years of service); Lorenzo D. Pa-a, janitor at the Silliman University Church (39 years of service); Teodorico R. Reyes, University Legal Counsel (39 years of service); Democrito G. Abbot, dishwasher at the Cafeteria (38 years of service); Macario B. Banagodos, janitor at Larena Hall (38 years of service); Felisa S. Orcia, matron at then Nurses Home (37 years of service); Estanislao L. Alviola, Jr., coordinator at then Office of the General Services (36 years of service); Cristina T. Decenteceo, associate professor at the College of Education (29 years of service); Apolonio N. and Maura B. Molina, Registrar and Bible Teachers (27 years of service); and Louis C. and Mary S. Winternheimer, Chemistry Pioneer and Acting President/Dean of Students (24 years of service).
