SU Joins ACSCU Study Trip to Taiwan

Institutional Advancement Officer Mr. Jose Mari Jonathan Antonio represented Silliman University in a group of officials and educators from member schools of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU) and the ACSCU-Accrediting Agency, Inc. on a study trip to Taiwan. 

The trip on October 28 to November 3 provided an opportunity for interaction and benchmarking with the group?s counterparts at the Taiwan Department of Education and six academic institutions. Focus was on programs, services, best practices, and potential areas of collaboration. 

Taiwan Normal University, Chung Yuan Christian University, Tung Hai University, Northern Taiwan University, Tamkang High School and Alithea University were among the schools that hosted the group. 

Silliman University President Dr. Ben S. Malayang III, who is Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations, is the immediate past President of ACSCU.
