Alaska CEO visits Silliman University

Mr. Wilfred Steven Uytengsu Jr., Alaska Milk Corp. CEO, and Atty. Santiago A. Polido, corporate secretary, visited Silliman University (SU) Feb. 5 to look at previous projects of the Uytengsu family and Uytengsu Foundation in SU and discuss future collaborations, especially on the modernization of the SU Main Library.

The Alaska executives met with SU administrators about development projects where the Uytengsu family can help. The duo toured the Uytengsu Foundation Computer Center, the Uytengsu Foundation Computer Studies Hall, SU Main Library, and Uytengsu Hall of the College of Engineering and Design.

Uytengsu is the grandson of the late Don Tirso Uytengsu, Sr., an SU alumnus and former member of the SU Board of Trustees. Don Tirso donated the College of Engineering and Design’s Uytengsu Hall and established the Wentworth Uytengsu Memorial Scholarship for College of Law students. Through the Uytengsu Foundation, the Uytengsu family also donated the Uytengsu Foundation Computer Center, Uytengsu Foundation Computer Studies Hall, Alaska Basketball Court, and funding for the Apps Incubation and Development Laboratory in partnership with Apple, Inc.
