Alumni Update April 17 – 23, 2023

The Silliman Alumni Association, Inc. (SAAI) Davao Chapter held their “Davao Sillimanians Tapok” last April 16, 2023 at the residence of Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee (OSA) Fele D. Magdamo in Bangkal, Davao City.

The Davao Alumni Chapter pillars present during the gathering were Helen Magdamo-Guillergan, former Silliman University trustee; Maria Elena Ravello-Mangaoil; and gracious host, OSA Fele D. Magdamo.

The gathering, aimed to keep the Silliman Spirit alive among alumni, included a business meeting and election of chapter officers; singing, led by Paquita Josue; trivia questions provided by Moses Joshua B. Atega; games, and food.

The newly elected officers of the Davao chapter are Susan B. Palad (President), Cerlito M. Animo (Vice President), Meggy Macion Santos (Secretary), Jose Armelito “Jap” Paña (Treasurer), and Omar Andre Villalba (PIO).

Palad, who expressed her gratitude for the vote of confidence to serve as chapter president, said: “I am looking forward not only to more fun fellowships with my fellow Sillimanians but making Davao Alumni relevant. We don’t wait for things to happen. We make things happen.”
