The Silliman Alumni Association, Inc. (SAAI) Greater Bacolod City Chapter held their Christmas Party and election of new officers on December 13, 2023 at the residence of Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee (OSA) Nelly A. Jocson at Sta. Clara Subsivision, Bacolod City. Other guests that graced the alumni gathering were Atty. Mildred Aguilar Pfleider, Silliman University (SU) trustee; Yasmin M. Alhi, SAAI national president; RD Marie M. Delos Reyes, SAAI executive secretary; Moses Joshua B. Atega, SU international student adviser; and Ruben N. Bokingo, SU director for alumni and external affairs.
Yasmin M. Alih, SAAI president, gave a report on the current thrusts of SAAI, while Bokingo shared alumni updates from the campus. The games and trivia questions were led by Atega with SU souvenirs as prizes.
The newly elected chapter officers are Caesar L. Pacalioga (President), Dr. Jose Rene Gayo (Vice President), Jean Abong-Chan (Secretary), Imogene S. Kana-an (Treasurer), Balma Nandwani (Public Information Officer). Cidni Mapa and Nelly A. Jocson, were elected as members of the Board of Directors, while James Andrew Aves was appointed PRO for their Junior Alumni Board.
