Tipon Silliman 2022, a Silliman University Alumni Council of North America (SUACONA) bi-annual alumni gathering, brought together over 300 Sillimanians to Boston, Massachusetts, last July 7-10, 2022. The venue of the gathering was the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, a boutique-style Harborside hotel with breathtaking views of the beautiful city skyline. SU Board of Trustees Chair Ricardo A. Balbido, Jr. and Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU President, were guest speakers at the alumni gathering.

During the Tipon Gala Night, SUACONA presented checks representing support to various projects in SU. Chair Balibido and President McCann received the following checks: Library Elevator Project $39,000; Sampaguita Cottage Renovation $26,000; and the yearly contribution for Environmental Projects $2,500.

Additionally, SU Alumni Association of Southern California (SUAASC) gave $5,000 to their existing scholarship fund; SUAA New York-New Jersey chapter gave $3,000.00 also for scholarships. Ellafe Kiamco Colkroft also gave $1,500 plus a yearly pledge of the same amount for general scholarship.
