Alvarado is being recognized for his extraordinary leadership to improve quality of care, patient safety, and/or patient experience at Saint Barnabas Hospital (SBH) Health System.

Alvarado began his career at SBH in 1999 as an Assistant Director of Nursing. He rose through the ranks and now holds the title of Vice President-Operations at the SBH Health Systems in Bronx, NY.

In nominating Mr. Alvarado for the UHF 2024 award, SBH Senior Vice President Robert Church said, “Al is a humble leader who prefers the recognition and accolades be given to frontline staff, but today he is deserving of this recognition of his leadership and many accomplishments to improving care for all patients.”
