SU JHS grateful for SUHS Class ’58 chapel donation

The Silliman University (SU) Junior High School Department, led by its principal, Asst. Prof. Kristine N. Busmion, has again expressed its gratitude to SU High School Class of 1958 for their donation of the SUHS Class ’58 Chapel.

The turnover of the chapel donation to the SU Junior High School Department was in 2021 during the height of COVID-19. It has since provided a solemn place for worship and spiritual growth for the Junior High School students.

A concrete circumferential road, starting from the corner of Hibbard Ave. and Coco Grande and exiting by the northern side of the High School, was also a donation of SUHS Class 1958. It provides transportation access to the SUHS Class ’58 Chapel. Front runners of High School Class ’58 are two Outstanding Sillimanian Awardees (OSA): Engr. Elizabeth Merto Engle, in the field of Engineering: Project Management 2016, and Dr. Maria Salud F. Kho, in the field of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynecology) and Community Service 2023.

Junior High School students hold their class spiritual reflection time at the SU High School Class ’58 Chapel.

The acacia trees surrounding the SU High School Class ’58 Chapel have provided adequate shade around the chapel.
