Ambassador Corsino launches book titled Poetic Essays 2
The Silliman University (SU) School of Public Affairs and Governance (SPAG), through the SPAG Society, hosted the Book Launch of Ambassador Dr. MacArthur F. Corsino’s “Poetic Essays 2: Stirring Paeans to Sanctuaries Built for God’s Glory,” at the Multipurpose Room on April 19, 2024.
The event is in celebration of the SPAG Week, and Ambassador Corsino’s book comes after his first edition of the same name, Poetic Essays. His books chronicle his journeys around the world with his wife, Bernadette C. Corsino, and higihlight his introspections and spiritual reflections.
According to the author, this particular book “is geared towards stimulating the imagination and steering any hidden nature viewing artistic proclivities of ordinary people.”
Dr. Reynaldo Rivera, who introduced the author during the event, said, “Our honoree today continues to evolve as a diplomat, as an ambassador, […] the leading light in the academe, or even as a preacher, writer, or author.”
“As preacher, [Corsino] brings the gospel to our mind, heart, and soul, which, according to the author, are God’s essence,” Rivera added.
Dr. Ferdinand M. Mangibin, SPAG dean, described the event as “a celebration and sharing of a well-reflected life journey of Dr. Corsino.”
