CBA Clinches Intrams 2026 Championship

The College of Business Administration (CBA) emerged as Overall Champion of the Silliman University Intramural Games 2026, amassing a commanding 515 points at the close of competitions held February 16–21, 2026.

The College of Engineering and Design (CED) secured 1st runner-up honors with 445 points, followed by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) with 355 points. The Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (ICLS) and the Institute of Rehabilitative Sciences/Physical Therapy (IRS/PT) both posted strong finishes with 200 points each, tying for 3rd runner-up.

The weeklong Intramurals brought together student-athletes from across the University in a vibrant display of competition and school spirit. Events ranged from traditional sports such as basketball, volleyball, football, softball, swimming, and track to racket sports, chess, frisbee (mixed), and a growing lineup of esports competitions including Dota, Mobile Legends, Valorant, and Call of Duty Mobile, alongside community games such as tug of war, relay, and sack race.

CBA’s championship run was marked by strong finishes across a wide range of events, particularly in basketball, volleyball, softball, badminton, track, and several esports competitions, enabling the college to steadily accumulate points throughout the week. CED, which placed first runner-up, drew strength from its performances in volleyball, swimming, track events, and other team sports. Meanwhile, the CAS secured third place overall through consistent results in volleyball, badminton, basketball, and several mixed and recreational events.

Individual excellence was also recognized through the awarding of Most Valuable Players (MVPs) in various sports. In basketball, Ken Rey S. Villacampa (CBA) and Cyrah Faith M. Cancio (CAS) were named MVPs in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively. Volleyball honors went to Klynt Adrian S. Ariosa (CED) and Diane C. Alcoriza (CAS). In softball, Jhon Marvin F. Loyloy (CBA) and Steffi Mari A. Estrellanes (CED) earned MVP recognition. Ryan Patrick D. Dimagnaong (CED) and Shean S. Serion (COE) were named MVPs in pickleball, while Sam Harem L. Salas (IRS/PT) and Devylen L. Talledo (MED) received the honors in table tennis.

In lawn tennis, Dwight Al M. Uy (IRS/PT) and Ellaine Rose G. Bahonsua (MED) were recognized as MVPs. Swimming MVP awards went to Juan Carlo L. Giganan (CED) and Rowena Rose A. Cabanlit (CED). In track, Einz A. Gomez (CBA) and Cris Ginyba N. Caballes (CED) were named MVPs. Chess MVP honors were awarded to Vinz Paul O. Lapura (ICLS) and Lady Jan May M. Wong (CBA), while badminton MVPs were Luke Francis T. Vamenta (CAS) and Mia Dominique S. Go (CBA).

In football, Ramiel Jardin C. Valeña (AGRI) and Leonelli Sapphire S. Ege (CED) received MVP honors. Spikeball MVPs were Jhules Forbes A. Parcon (COE) and Chloe Roecia F. Tumpag (CED). In frisbee (mixed), Dane Anthony J. Matutis (CBA) and Juliana Joyce P. Cerencio (CAS) were recognized for their standout performances.

More than a competition for points, Intramurals 2026 once again underscored Silliman University’s commitment to holistic student formation. For six days, courts and fields became spaces where teamwork, resilience, and camaraderie flourished, reminding the community that while only one unit claims the championship trophy, the entire University shares in the victory of unity and school pride.
