The Silliman University College of Engineering & Design (CED) is announcing its General Admission Guidelines for SY 2024-2025.

1) Applicants must submit a certified true copy of Senior High School card of Grades 11 and the first two quarters or First Semester of Grade 12 with 2 x 2 ID picture. General average in Grade 11 and First Semester of Grade 12 Average should be 85%.
2) For BSCE, BSEE, BSME and BSAr applicants, the grades in all Mathematics and Physics subjects must be at least 90%.
3) For BSCpE applicants, the general average and grades in all Mathematics and Physics subjects must be at least 85%. This grade requirement does not in any way indicate the difficulty of the course but is influenced by the number of faculty members available in the department.
4) BSCE and BSAr applicants must be from the STEAM/STEM Track.
5) Applicants for BSCpE, BSEE, and BSME whose Senior High strand is not STEAM/STEM may be considered subject to further assessment by the Department Chairpersons.
6) All qualified applicants are required to take an entrance examination to be scheduled after an initial evaluation of credentials.
7) Payment for the testing fee must be done only after confirmed schedule of entrance examination.
The testing Fee is โฑ 300.00 per applicant, to be paid at the Business and Finance Office in the account 302.0014 College of Engineering Trust Fund.
ย All exams will be administered only as scheduled. No special schedules will be given.
9) Examinations for admission are only given before the start of the academic year. There will be no
examination in between semesters.
10) Additional requirements for BSAr applicants:
Applicants must have good drawing skills and are to self-assess for the following skills (to be verified as the student progresses during the First Semester) :
– at least an average level of creativity skill
– at least an average level of visualization skill
– at least an average level of thinking and reasoning skill
– at least an average level of analytical skill
An interview will be administered as an additional assessment. Only applicants who pass the
entrance examination will be interviewed and ranked accordingly.

ย Submission of Requirements starts June 2, 2024 and ends July 4, 2024.
ย Notification of Accepted Applicants: July 8-19, 2024.
ย Once accepted, applicants for admission must enroll within July 15-24, 2024. Failure to
enroll within the allocated period means forfeiture of slot. These slots will be assigned
to other students that are next in rank.

2) Applicant grades will be evaluated for possible credits.
3) BSCE and BSAr applicants must be from the STEAM/STEM Track.
4) Applicants for BSCpE, BSEE, and BSME whose Senior High strand is not STEAM/STEM may be considered subject to further assessment by the Department Chairpersons.
5) The general average and final grade in all Mathematics and Physics subjects must be at least 2.0.
6) All qualified shifting applicants, unless they have previously passed the entrance examination as an applicant for other CED courses, are required to take an entrance examination. Please refer to this schedule.
7) An entrance examination can only be scheduled after an initial evaluation of credentials. Once qualified for the entrance examination, the applicant will be informed.
ย Payment for the testing fee must be done only after confirmed schedule of entrance examination.
