The Silliman University Library invites you to an eTalk entitled “Managing Infodemic: Information Dissemination in The Fight Against Covid-19” this September 17, 2021 (Friday), 12:00 NN to 2:00 PM. The webinar is open to all students and educators in various fields, as well as other interested parties in the Philippines. This is part of the Library’s initiative to enhance the teaching-learning relationship among the 21st-century stakeholders through collaboration with various colleges, programs, and departments.
Specifically, it aims to cover, but is not limited, to the following topic:
• Infodemic situation in the Philippines: Covid-19 rumors and misinformation (FAQ)
• The challenges and gaps experienced in addressing this Infodemic
• Finding trusted sources: the role of the library in Managing Infodemic
• Call for action: everyone has a role to play in addressing the Infodemic.
Our resource speaker is Dr. Walden R. Ursos, Dean, Medical School, and the Chairperson of the SU Covid-19 Crisis Management Group.
