KIU rep pays courtesy visit to SU president

Prof. Kazuyuki Fukunishi, representative of Kyushu International University (KIU), paid a courtesy visit to Silliman University (SU) President Dr. Betty Cernol McCann in connection with KIU’s participation in the Intensive English Program (IntEP) hosted by the SU Language Learning Center.

Fukunishi leads a delegation of 20 students enrolled in a three-week English language and intercultural communication program from February 16 to March 6, 2026. The group is accompanied by Washizaki Ai of the KIU International Center.

Also present during the courtesy call were Dr. Alana Leilani C. Narciso, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Joan C. Generoso, chairperson of the Department of English and Literature; Asst. Prof. Deo Mar E. Suasin, Language Learning Center administrative staff; and Dr. Warlito S. Caturay Jr., chief of Media and Public Affairs.

The visit underscores the long-standing partnership between SU and KIU, which began in 2016. This year marks the 10th anniversary of collaboration between the two institutions, reflecting their shared commitment to internationalization, academic exchange, and cross-cultural engagement.
