Research Director Attends American Psych Confab in Washington, DC

Director for Research Dr. Margaret Helen Udarbe-Alvarez joins the American Psychological Association (APA) Convention on August 3 to 6 in Washington, DC, USA.

Dr. Alvarez is the current president of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.

The annual convention brings together thousands of psychologists to interact, collaborate and learn from each other. Dr. Alvarez was invited to share her unique perspective of the practice of psychology in the Philippines, the challenges confronting it, and enrich the conversation in the field.  

This year’s convention coincides with the 125th APA anniversary, and features special sessions that look back into the history of the APA and its current initiatives.  “125 Years of Psychology as Science within APA” and “Looking Back in Our 125th Year — Acknowledging American Psychology’s Past.”
