Silliman University High School Class of 1982 alumnus and celebrated haute couture designer Amir Sali made waves on the global stage on September 10, 2026, showcasing his latest collection at The LOFT39 during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Season 3.
Participating in the prestigious World Fashion EXPO – New York Edition, the multi-awarded designer captivated the audience with his signature intricate craftsmanship and luxurious beadwork.
Affectionately dubbed the “Prince of Beads,” Sali added a distinct Filipino touch to the runway by setting his show to the hit track “DAM” by P-pop group SB19.

Sali’s showcase received widespread acclaim across social media and the international fashion community, celebrated as a monumental triumph for Filipino artistry. Prior to his global acclaim, Sali spent 17 years refining his craft in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, where his clientele included members of Middle Eastern royalty and elite high-society figures.
