Sillimanian archers compete in 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand

Silliman University is represented in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) by Gabrielle Monica Bidaure, a BS Psychology major, and Naina Dominique Tagle from the Senior High School Department, who are competing in archery at the biennial regional sporting event.
Officially known as the 33rd SEA Games, the multi-sport competition is being held in Thailand from December 9 to 20, 2025, with events staged across Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla.
Bidaure and Tagle are scheduled to see action from December 14 to 17 at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, one of the main venues of the Games.
Archery competitions at the 2025 SEA Games are divided into two categories: Compound Bow and Recurve Bow.
The event gathers athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations and is part of a program featuring around 50 sports.
Beyond competition, the SEA Games serve as a platform for promoting sports development and strengthening friendship and cooperation among participating countries.
Silliman University joins the national sporting community in supporting its student-athletes as they represent both the country and the University on the Southeast Asian stage.
