Sillimanian named Top Marketing Trainee in MarkProf Bootcamp

Maria Fiona Labucuas, a sophomore Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management at Silliman University, has earned national recognition after being named one of the Top 7 graduates of the prestigious MarkProf Bootcamp Batch 21.

Selected from over 1,000 applicants across the Philippines, Labucuas was one of only 31 students accepted into the program and among the 22 who successfully completed it. She stood out as a Top Performing Trainee, receiving perfect evaluation scores, and led her teams to victory in two national case competitions. She also served as Batch President.

Organized by the MarkProf Foundation, co-founded by marketing luminaries Josiah Go, Chiqui Escareal-Go, and the late Ding Salvador, the bootcamp is widely regarded as the country’s most competitive marketing leadership development program. Held from January 24 to March 22, 2025, the program ran for nine weekends and featured case challenges, simulations, and mentorship sessions conducted by executives from top firms such as Unilever, Mondelez International, Cebu Pacific, and Procter & Gamble.

Each session explored topics such as brand management, service and business development, Web3, and digital marketing. Labucuas notably excelled in the Mondelez and Cebu Pacific group case challenges and led her team in the Robinsons Supermarket negotiation simulation.

“The MarkProf Bootcamp pushed me beyond my limits, taught me to lead with empathy, and gave me the confidence to thrive in high-stakes environments,” shared Labucuas.

As a new member of the MarkProf Alumni Circle, she now joins a national network of high-performing marketing professionals, gaining access to mentorship and industry opportunities that will support her future in marketing leadership.
