Students complete internships in communities under OCESL program

Social Work and Psychology students completed internships in communities under the Silliman University Office of Community Engagement and Service-Learning’s (OCESL) Community-based Internship Program, which culminated May 20, 2023 at Silliman Hall.

Asst. Prof. Emervencia L. Ligutom, former OCESL director, served as the keynote speaker at the culmination event.

Through the Community-Based Internship Program, OCESL provides service-learning and teaching-and-learning opportunities in a community-based setting. 

OCESL collaborates with academic units to initiate engagements with communities wherein students and faculty members are immersed in real-life learning situations while conducting development projects.
