SU alumna among The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service
For her leadership in Business Innovation and Corporate Citizenship, Lorelie Quiambao-Osial—Country Chair of Shell Companies in the Philippines and President of Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI)—was named one of the recipients of The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) 2025 Award, conferred on September 16, 2025, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati.
The TOWNS Awards honor exceptional Filipino women who have made transformative contributions to Philippine society through excellence, leadership, and service in their respective fields.
Quiambao-Osial is a trailblazer in the global energy sector. Under her watch, Shell achieved a ~90% reduction in carbon emissions (2016–2021), deployed 5,000+ solar panels, launched carbon-neutral products, and pioneered the country’s first nature-based reforestation carbon offset project—making Shell a leader in sustainable energy innovation.
Her impact extends beyond business. Through PSFI programs, she has uplifted over 16 million Filipinos in livelihood, education, health, environment, and food security. Internationally, her work in Iraq’s Basrah Gas Project—the world’s largest gas flaring reduction effort—earned recognition from the World Bank.
A champion of diversity, equity, and mental health, she proves that business leadership can be both profitable and purposeful, driving inclusive, sustainable progress for the nation.
Quiambao-Osial graduated from Silliman University (SU) with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, cum laude, in 1996. A certified public accountant, she also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Australia.
