SU CAC restages original Bisaya musical Pulang Langob

As part of its 62nd season, the Silliman University Culture and Arts Council (SU CAC) is set to restage Pulang Langob at the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium from March 14–16, 2025.
This original Bisaya musical, created by the Youth Advocates Through Theater Arts (YATTA), is written by Earnest Hope Tinambacan and directed by Dessa Quesada Palm. Following its successful debut at the Luce Auditorium in April 2024, the production returns to captivate audiences once again.

Pulang Langob reimagines the mythical creatures known as Wakwak—often perceived as malevolent troublemakers—as indigenous guardians of a life-sustaining reservoir. These beings hold generations of wisdom rooted in an ethics of care for one another and the natural world. However, their values are challenged when they encounter human outsiders, leading to conflicts of identity, interest, and survival.

At the heart of the story is 15-year-old Lukas, a half-human, half-Wakwak struggling to understand his identity, heritage, and personal agency. As he navigates the expectations of his parents—who represent opposing worlds—he must make choices that will shape his destiny.

The restaging will feature five performances:
