The Silliman University College of Business Administration (SU CBA) successfully held its first-ever Student Research Congress on March 27, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Theater, marking a significant milestone in strengthening its research culture and academic excellence.

Anchored on the theme, “Shaping the Future of Business: Innovation, Digital Finance, and Consumer Insights in a Connected World,” the congress gathered more than 150 student participants, alongside faculty members, in a dynamic academic forum that showcased student-led research addressing contemporary business challenges and emerging trends.

The congress featured 30 research studies presented by students from four sections of the BA 32 (Research) course. These studies were organized into three major tracks: Digital Finance and Financial Behavior, The Evolving Digital Consumer, and Service Innovation and Organizational Adaptation, which reflect the growing importance of technology, data, and consumer insight in today’s interconnected business landscape. The event provided a formal platform for students to present empirical and conceptual research, receive expert feedback, and engage in scholarly discourse.

Delivering the keynote address was Dr. Robert Sy Guino-o II, executive director of the Research, Publication, and Innovation Office (RPIO), who emphasized the vital role of research in shaping future-ready professionals and fostering innovation within academic institutions. His message underscored the importance of student research in contributing to both institutional development and broader societal progress.
