SU celebrates An Afternoon fo Gratitude with scholarship donors

The Silliman University (SU) Office of Student Services (OSS) Student Scholarship and Aid Division (SSAD) hosted a fellowship, An Afternoon of Gratitude, aimed at recognizing the generosity and commitment of the scholarship donors whose giving has contributed to the success of the University’s scholarship program.

Held on August 28, 2025, at the SU Hall, the event drew inspiration from the generosity of Dr. Horace B. Silliman, whose generous donation of 10,000 USD to the Presbyterian Board and Mission in 1899 laid the foundation for what would become Silliman University.

The fellowship was in part a celebration of Dr. Silliman’s Bicentennial Birth Anniversary this year and the 124th Silliman University Founders Day Celebration. More importantly, it became an opportune time for donors and their recipients to meet.
