SU donates 23 computer units to the City of Bayawan

Silliman University (SU) welcomed government officials, faculty, and staff from the Local Government Unit – City of Bayawan for the signing of the Deed of Donation of 23 desktop personal computers in response to the educational needs of the constituents of the City of Bayawan, on March 3, 2025, at the Leopoldo T. Ruiz Administration Hall.

Hon. John T. Raymond Jr., Bayawan City mayor, and his wife Atty. Pristine Ramona M. Raymond, IBP Negros Oriental ex officio director and SAAI – Dumaguete Chapter president, together with Ernesto Dinopol, Jr., City Legal Officer, and Erjien R. Tenefrancia, City Planning and Development Coordinator, represented the City of Bayawan.

They were also joined by faculty and staff Shella May Laspiñas, Chia Dagondon, Deoan Obañana, Van Jake Sinag, and Leontruvic Dales.

Meanwhile, Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU president, represented the donor, together with Dr, Margaret Helen U. Alvarez, interim vice president for Academic Affairs and Research (VPAAR); Dr. Chuchi S. Montenegro, Information and Communications Technology chief; and Glynnis Jean C. Casiño, Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development officer-in-charge.
