SU math chair presents paper at regional research congress

Dr. Rhea Rheem Muarip-Bolodo, Mathematics Department chair, presents her research titled, “On JJ-filters of JJ-algebras: Implicative and Comparative.”

Dr. Rhea Rheem Muarip-Bolodo, Silliman University (SU) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) – Mathematics Department chair presented her research at the 2024 Mathematical Society of the Philippines – Region 7 Research Congress and Convention, on December 5-6, 2024, at Alpa Suites Hotel in Mandaue City, Cebu.

Dr. Muarip-Bolodo’s study, titled “On JJ-filters of JJ-algebras: Implicative and Comparative,” was selected for a parallel session presentation under the field of Abstract Algebra.

Her work is among 40 research studies accepted for presentation, which span diverse mathematical disciplines, including Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Statistics, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, and Mathematics Education.

The congress, an annual event hosted by regional chapters of the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, brings together mathematicians, researchers, and educators dedicated to advancing mathematics and mathematics education.

This year’s theme, “Exploring the Infinite Possibilities of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Era,” underscores the pivotal role of mathematics in the evolving technological landscape.

The convention aims to foster collaboration and inspire innovative approaches to both theoretical and applied mathematical challenges.
