The SU Seal is a Registered Trademark granted by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines to SU last June 18, 2021.

The Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines is defined by Republic Act No. 8293, also known as “An Act Prescribing the Intellectual Property Code and Establishing the Intellectual Property Office, Providing for Its Powers and Functions, and for Other Purposes,” provides SU power and authority to protect the SU Seal.

Anyone who wishes to use the seal for business purposes must enter into the licensing agreement with the university; otherwise, they will be subjected to a violation of RA 8293.

To protect the SU Seal, the University is tapping enterprises to enter into a licensing agreement. By entering into a licensing agreement with SU, merchants will be authorized to sell products with the Silliman marks.

All businesses who wish to enter into a licensing agreement with the university may contact the SU KTTO at [email protected] or call 035 422 6002 local 419.
