SU opens Job Fair with 39 participating companies

The Silliman University (SU) Job Fair 2023 opened May 22, 2023, allowing graduating students and jobseekers in Dumaguete City to find work opportunities with 39 participating local, national, international, and multinational companies from various industries.

Organized by the Office of Alumni and External Affairs, the fair is open to the public and will end on May 23.

SU alumna Suzanne Lu-Bascara, assistant vice president and site director of Inspiro Relia Inc. and Infocom Technologies Inc., gave a message during the opening program of the fair.

Bascara encouraged SU students in the audience to highlight the skills they developed through Silliman education as their “edge,” which are communication skills, a “well-rounded personality,” and a “strong sense of values guided by the Christian education of Silliman University.”

“When you make your decisions, as a Sillimanian, always go back to ‘Via, Veritas, Vita.’ That is your guide…You can work with integrity and honesty,” she said.
