SU partners with Chung Yuan Christian University of Taiwan for online education programs

Silliman University (SU), through its Dr. Mariano Lao Global Studies Center (GSC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) of Taiwan as a potential partner of SU in online education.
The ceremonial MOU signing was held during the visit of CYCU representatives last November 16, 2023 at the Mariano Lao Innovation, Creation, and Invention Laboratory, SU campus.
Dr. Bernie Po-Tsang Huang, dean of the CYCU Office of Digital Education, led the visiting party.
Dr. Dave E. Marcial, GSC director, and the rest of the GSC staff met with the CYCU representatives to discuss similarities between the CYCU Office of Digital Education and the SU GSC, and possible collaborations.
The CYCU representatives also had a courtesy visit to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and a campus tour with the SU Corps of Campus Ambassadors.
SU and CYCU are member institutions of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA) and the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA).
