SU Psychology dept. produces new licensed psychometricians, psychologists
The Silliman University Psychology Department (SUPD) produced 31 psychometricians and two psychologists in the 2023 Board of Licensure Examination for Psychologists and Psychometricians (BLEPP).
SUPD’s performance is above the national passing rate. It registered an 88.24% passing rate for psychometricians against the national passing rate of 83.78% while the 33.33% passing rate for psychologists is above the national passing rate of 28.57%.
BLEPP is administered by the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology by virtue of RA 10029 or the Philippine Psychology of 2009. Under the RA, the licensure has two levels. The licensure exam for psychometricians is for those with a minimum bachelor’s degree in psychology. The exam for psychologists is for those with a minimum master’s degree in psychology.
