SU ranks 9th among top PH universities in QS Asian Universities rankings 2025
Silliman University (SU) secures 9th place among Philippine universities in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asian University Rankings 2025.
The top 10 ranked universities in the Philippines include:
1. University of the Philippines (Rank 86)
2. Ateneo de Manila University (Rank 142)
3. De La Salle University (Rank 163)
4. University of Santo Tomas (Rank 181)
5. Adamson University (Rank 411-420)
6. University of San Carlos (Rank 481-490)
7. Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Rank 541 – 560)
8. Mapua University (Rank 561-580)
9. Silliman University (Rank 601-620)
10. Far Eastern University (Rank 681-700)
In this ranking cycle, only 25 universities from the Philippines were included, five of which are from the Visayas. Alongside SU and University of San Carlos, the other Visayan universities that made the list are Cebu Technological University (Rank 851-900), Central Philippine University (Rank 851-900), and West Visayas State University (Rank 901+).
This year’s rankings were determined using key indicators such as Research and Discovery (academic reputation, citation per paper, and papers per faculty), Employability and Outcomes (employer reputation), Learning Experience (faculty and student ratio and staff with PhD), and Global Engagement (international research network, inbound exchange students, international faculty, international students, and outbound exchange students).
