SU student wins 3 bronze medals in 32nd SEA Games Qualifying Meet

Kacie Gabrielle M. Tionko, a grade 9 student at the Silliman University (SU) Junior High School, won bronze medals in the 800-meter freestyle, 400-meter freestyle, and 100-meter breaststroke swimming events of the national swim tryouts for the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, February 16-19, 2023 at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Tarlac.

The 32nd SEA Games will be held May 5-17, 2023 in Cambodia.

In December 2022, Tionko was awarded “Most Bemedalled Swimmer” after winning five gold medals in the following swimming events of the Batang Pinoy National Championship 2022: 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle, 400-meter freestyle, and 100-meter breaststroke.
