Silliman University students are among the recipients of the 2026 Community Student Awards conferred by the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) on March 20, 2026 at the YMCA Negros Oriental Inc. Conference Hall.

A total of five senior high school students and ten university students from Silliman were recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, and community service, which are qualities that the YMCA Community Student Award seeks to uphold among graduating students.

The senior high school awardees are Karla Concepcion A. Fontelo, Jarrell Jade C. Navarro, Spencer R. Renacia, Julia Marie G. Sarenas, and Mary Kate V. Sayson.

At the university level, the awardees are Mae Danielle N. Alcancia (College of Education), Dylan Danielle M. Camisura (College of Education), Kathrina E. Dagoy (College of Education), Arby P. Elnar (College of Education), Lia Nicole Angelika M. Bungabong (College of Business Administration), Ryan Rikaz C. Ibraim (College of Mass Communication), Grylle Adrian G. Malala (College of Mass Communication), Gwyn A. Morata (College of Education), Vanessa Carmel B. Regalado (College of Arts and Sciences), and Alexis Teresa Marie C. Tam (College of Business Administration).

The YMCA Community Student Award is a community-based recognition given to graduating students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service, reflecting the organization’s commitment to youth development and social responsibility.
