SUCN students place 2nd in Inter-School Nursing Quiz Bowl

The Silliman University College of Nursing (SUCN) secured 2nd place in the Battle of the Nightingales (BOTN), an inter-school nursing quiz bowl held on August 29, 2025, at the SM Bacolod Activity Center.

Representing SUCN were Level IV students Tehrrence Neil John A. Abangan, Gayle Marie P. Dineros, Lyzelle Marie L. Omictin, and Brianna Rikka A. Jabel, with Asst. Prof. May Ross P. Café serving as coach.

The competition, organized by Metro Pacific Health, brought together 13 nursing schools from Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, and Iloilo. The quiz bowl featured two rounds—preliminary and final—with questions ranging from easy to difficult.

As 2nd place winners, the SUCN team received a 50% discount in the Brain Hub Review Specialist’s intensive program for the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.

SUCN will choose its next team of contenders during College Week in February 2026 through its in-house version of BOTN.
