VPAA attends NCCA confab on culture, creative economy

Dr. Earl Jude Paul L. Cleope, Silliman University vice president for academic affairs, attended the 2019 International Conference on Cultural Statistics and Creative Economy organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Oct. 14-15 at Cebu City.

Cleope facilitated a discussion on Cultural Education as the moderator of a breakout session.

As a platform for exchanging knowledge on cultural statistics and creative economy and promoting cultural diversity, the two-day conference focused on culture’s contribution to national development.

Attended by almost 500 cultural workers and artists in the Philippines, the conference was also an opportunity for researchers to showcase how their research contributed to policy-making and planning.
