Alumni Updates (November 27 – December 3, 2017)

It was a Fiesta Sa Dumaguete celebration and an early Christmas Party in one for the Ontario Silliman University Alumni Association (ONSUAA) chapter, on November 25, 2017 at the Stan Wadlow Club, Ontario, Canada. A raffle was also held to raise funds for Silliman University scholarships.

   

ONSUAA’s new officers are: Estrella Mercurio – president, Marichi Bolongaita – vice president, Elaine Avila – secretary, Audrey Ablona – treasurer, Binky Lacuesta – auditor and Lawrence Lacuesta – PRO. The members of the Board of Directors are: Bestsy Jackson, Vernie Hilton, George Santiago, Allan Abellanosa, Gemela Sarmiento, Armida Amor, Gloria Doig, Don Quimno and Delicia Maravillas.

Jessica L. Lupisan, a watercolor artist and true blue Sillimanian (ECS ’69, Elem ’75, HS ’79, BBA ’83), is inviting the Silliman and Dumaguete community to her exhibit, aptly titled, Jessica’s Artwork, this Saturday, December 2, 2017, 2pm at the Unicom Co-Work Space Hub, Room 106, Portal West Building, Silliman Avenue, Dumaguete City. Jessica’s art has transcended from the framed canvas to hand-painted bags and dresses. After being a bank executive for over 20 years in the country and abroad, she has settled back in Dumaguete to continue her passion in watercolor painting.
