College of Education faculty, Prof. Bonior, presents paper at British Education Research Association (BERA) Annual Conference

Prof. Gina Fontejon Bonior, faculty member of the College of Education, presented her paper during the British Education Research Association (BERA) Annual Conference held on September 5-7, 2017 at the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK.

Her paper entitled “At the forefront of reforms: Teachers’ constrained agency and emotions in DepEd Reform Program Implementation” looked into Filipino literacy teachers’ emotions with regard to a series of educational reforms. It won a Bursary Award, a financial grant provided to assist with costs relating to the conference, international transportation, and accommodation.

Aside from presenting her research, Prof. Bonior also chaired one of the parallel sessions during the conference.

The BERA Annual conference provides the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with education researchers worldwide. This year’s conference was attended by more than 900 participants and is the largest conference held outside of London.
