Juris Doctor Senior Adjudged Best Rebuttal Speaker in Grand Law Debate

A Juris Doctor senior clinched the Best Rebuttal Speaker Award in the Grand Law Debate between the law schools of Silliman University and the University of St. La Salle (USLS) Bacolod, held February 12 at the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium.

Joed Marice V. Zamora rose to be a better whip on the motion: “Resolved: That Omissions in the SALN should not be considered an impeachable offense.”

The Silliman Law team, composed of Andrea Dawn Boycillo, Bobby Diglos, Josef James Gara, James Corro (team manager) and Zamora, argued in the affirmative.

The two other awards, Best Debater and Best Speaker, went to Daniel Victor Zayco of USLS. He was on the same team with Janica Pananduyan, Sharewin Sapian and Mika Tajima.

Every year, the Oratorical and Debating Club of the Silliman Unversity College of Law organizes the Grand Law Debate as part of the SU Law Week Celebration.
