ADVISORY 2: School Activities Suspended; Resumption: Oct. 21

All school activities in Silliman University are suspended for the entire week. Faculty and staff are also encouraged to stay home. Work and school activities resume on October 21 (Monday).

This decision is made in consideration of the need for more time to conduct a structural integrity assessment on all buildings on campus by our colleagues in the Buildings and Grounds Department and the College of Engineering and Design. The suspension also takes into consideration Friday being a holiday, and the aftershocks that we still experience from the earthquake that affected Dumaguete yesterday.

Let us all keep safe and remain steadfast in our faith. Together, let us also offer a prayer for the many who are in pain over the loss of loved ones and cherished historical landmarks.
