The first was themed “Celebration: An Anthology Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Silliman University National Writers Workshop”, edited by Literature professor Ian R. Casocot; and another, a special literary issue of the Silliman Journal dedicated to the Tiempo couple, and edited by Sillimanians Mr. Anthony Tan, Ms Marjorie Evasco and Mr. Grace Monte de Ramos. The “Celebration” anthology is a special book issue of Sands & Coral, the literary folio of Silliman University.
Dr. Edilberto and Edith Tiempo founded the Silliman University National Writers Workshop, which is Asia's longest-running writing workshop. A good number of the fellows of the workshop who had the pleasure of being trained under the Tiempos are now among the country's notable literary artists.
The tribute is sponsored by the Edilberto and Edith Tiempo Creative Writing Center, in partnership with the Cultural Affairs Committee, Silliman Journal Editorial Board, Office of Alumni and External Affairs, and American Studies Resource Center of the Robert B. and Metta J. Silliman Library.
