Sixth Grader Wins Province-Wide Spelling Competition
A sixth grader from the School of Basic Education was adjudged champion in this year's province-wide “So You Think You Can Spell Season 3” held March 1.
Camryn Macias bested 149 other pupils from different private and public elementary schools in Negros Oriental. She emerged the winner after a series of elimination rounds which sifted the participants down to the final 35.
The other students from Silliman were Jose Marco Antonio (Grade V, Top 6), Ram Andrew Teng (Grade V, Top 8) and Fiona Isobel Caballo (Grade IV, Top 10).
