2 Nutrition-Dietetics Majors Back from Service-Learning in Japan
The International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo, Japan invited two students from Silliman University to be part of the Japan Summer Service Learning Program (JSSL) in Tokyo from July 7 to August 2.
Nutrition and Dietetics majors Joshua Ferido (third year) and Joanna Charis Concepcion (fourth year) were among 15 participants from five different countries in the program aimed at local community immersion in Japan, intercultural exchange and understanding, and tackle issues on culture, language and education.
The other participants came from Thailand (Assumption University), South Korea (Seoul Women’s University), United States (Middlebury College), and Japan (ICU).
