Five Selected Exchange Students to Japan, Korea
Five students are bound for a year-long student exchange program at different universities in Japan and South Korea by next school year, following their selection done recently.
The five are:
International Christian University, Toyko, Japan
Christian Denzel Sagun (Nutrition and Dietetics)
Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan
Charmaine Anne S. Malata (Mass Communication)
Hannam University, Daejon, South Korean
Dale Dominic R. Casocot (Economics)
Shikoku Gakuin University in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan
Isabella Kristianne M. Angan (Mass Communication)
Jameela Antoniette Mendoza (Mass Communication)
Charmaine is an exchange student under the Mobility Scheme of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia, while the rest are sent through Silliman’s regular exchange program with its partner institutions.
Meanwhile, three Sillimanians are now pursuing exchange studies at the Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana in Indonesia. Social Work sophomore Mr Haragel T. Basong, Psychology sophomore Mr. Achilles Isidore Z. Israel, and Philosophy major Mr LJ Zaphan B. Lamboloto started their studies in Indonesia last May and will return to the Philippines next month.
Silliman has over a hundred academic partners across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, Central America and North America.
