Youth Camp on Good Governance Eyes 100 SK Leaders
Around a hundred young political leaders of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) will be gathered in Silliman University for a youth leadership camp on good governance.
The three-day Uswag Kabataan Leadership Camp on May 17 to 19 is a project of the School of Public Affairs and Governance (SPAG). It is now on its second year.
Its participants are SK officials from the different cities and municipalities of Negros Oriental and from Bacolod City.
Based on its program, lined up this year activities that “nurture faith, conscience and strategic thinking in public affairs and governance, and hone the leadership skills of the country’s young promising leaders.” These include lectures by SPAG faculty, who include some of the country's seasoned economists and public servants, and teambuilding sessions outdoors.
The Uswag Kabataan Leadership Camp was first organized last year as a project of the SPAG Society, the college-based student organization.
