Speech Department Launches Book on Oral Communication
Five faculty members of the Speech and Theater Arts Department are set to launch their book on June 24 at the Robert B. and Metta J. Silliman Library.
“Communication in the Changing Times” is co-written by Department Chairperson Prof. Vanessa G. Nezamloo, Dr. Maria Cecilia M. Genove, concurrently Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Prof. Sonia B. Sygaco, Mr. Kris Dave V. Austero and Ms Catherine I. Cadiz.
The book discusses the fundamentals of oral communication. It also provides a guide on crafting solutions to group problems, developing an outline for public speeches, and sharpening one’s speaking and listening skills when confronted with challenging communication situations.
To be made available this school year, “Communication in the Change Times” serves as an instructional material for college students enrolled in the different Speech classes.
