Book on ‘FIRE’ Launched September 23
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Betsy Joy B. Tan releases a book containing a compilation of speeches, entitled Milestones of Academic Excellence: FIRE in the Five Cs of Silliman University Education.
The book is launched on September 23 at the Robert B. and Metta J. Silliman Library.
University President Dr. Ben S. Malayang III writes: “This collection of speeches presents acute snapshots of the ideas, beliefs, visions, thrusts and pedagogical anchors of Silliman University.”
Dr. Tan is a professional psychologist and mental health practitioner. She holds an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy major in Education Management all from Silliman University. She was a visiting scholar at Olivet College in Michigan, USA on a fellowship from the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.
