The three officials explored how Silliman can partner with the Embassy and its Ministry of Education in reaching out to schools in Vietnam where there expressed interest in pursuing international education, particularly in a neighboring Asian country.

Early last month, Professor Belarmino had a similar meeting with Deputy Chief of Mission Khamfeuang Phanthaxay of the Embassy of the Lao PDR.

Silliman receives close to 300 international students every year representing 28 countries. In the recent QS Asian University Ranking, Silliman was ranked Top 2 school in the Philippines in the international students category.
