The Amir Sali PPE’s

Silliman alumnus and European-trained Filipino designer Amir Sali, puts his God given talent to good use for our frontliners who needs at most protection in the fight against the Coronavirus. Amir’s donation of hundreds of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) which are his creations and personal touch are now being donned by frontliners at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Medical City (Ortigas), Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Center, East Avenue Medical Center and other smaller hospitals in Manila area and Quezon City. The donation also included over a thousand washable face masks.

In a Facebook post, Amir professes that God continues to perform miracles every day, in hospitals, in the streets and in our individual homes in spite of the havoc Covid 19 has done to our world. He says we just don’t pray, but we should also be part of the answer to our prayers. As an alumnus, Amir says he is a Sillimanian with a heart for others.

Amir worked for 17 years in Egypt and Saudi Arabia where among his clientele were members of the Middle East royal family and elite. He graduated from Silliman University High School in 1982 with fellow batch mate, Los Angeles-based fashion designer, Alexis Monsanto.
