Sillimanian elected president of NOA-USA
Silliman Alumnus Allen W. Garrido of High School 1977 will be inducted as president of the Negros Oriental Association (NOA-USA), on April 4, 2020, at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel, Buena Park, in Orange County, California. NOA will be celebrating its 29th Year Anniversary and Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo has been invited to grace the occasion. NOA-USA has been generous in the DumaGetMe signage project of the city, located at the Rizal Boulevard Pantawan.
The newly elected NOA-USA officers mostly Silliman alumni are: Allen W. Garrido – president, Rachel S. Gaston – vice-president, Georgina V. Ohland – secretary, Ramon Robillos – treasurer, Nancy Caple – auditor, Precila F. Garrido – PRO. The association’s Board of Directors are: Joel Gamo, Romulo Alquisola, Noli Fortugaleza, Evelyn Carballo, Lloyd Limpiado, Jerry Cavada, Dennis Gaston, Karla Rabor, Theresa Lugatiman, Ricardo Bocanegra, and Movita Serion. While the association advisers are: Zenaida Duran Bennett, Eugene “Bong” Tenorio, Zachary Beltran, Archerie Calunod, Excy Carballo, Lady Hope Robillos, Evelyn Lasola and Marilyn Elnar.
