The Silliman University (SU) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) – Chemistry Department produced nine (9) newly registered chemists and ten (10) newly registered chemical technicians during the October 2024 Chemists and Chemical Technicians Licensure Examinations!
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 592 out of 1,088 passed the Chemists Licensure Examination (Computer-Based and Paper & Pencil) and 2,110 out of 2,711 passed the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination, with national passing rates of 54.41% and 77.83%, respectively.
Meanwhile, SU garnered an overall passing rate of 47.37% for the Chemists Licensure Examination, with first-time takers at 61.54% and an overall passing rate of 83.33% for the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination, with first-time takers at 90.91%.
