Faculty named 1st runner-up in Asia Pacific Arts Festival

Asst. Prof. Manolito Saldivar of the Silliman University Physical Education Department bagged two gold awards and overall 1st Runner-up in the music competition of the Asia Pacific Arts Festival (APAF) 2020, February 22, 2020 in Malacca, Malaysia.

Saldivar competed against more than a hundred participants from all over Asia in the APAF music competition. He won gold at the Opera and Sacred categories.

According to its website, the APAF “aims to promote harmony, peace, and global friendship through diversified cultural exchange, workshops, and performing arts competition.” APAF includes music and dance competitions open to individuals aged 6 to 80 years old.
