SU continues shuttle service for faculty, staff
Silliman University (SU) continues its shuttle service to assist university personnel who are reporting for work but do not have their own vehicle. The shuttle service using SU buses began last March when public transportation was limited under the community quarantine. The shuttle service picks up and drops off personnel at their preferred location.
The shuttle service is one of SU’s initiatives to assist its personnel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The University’s other initiatives include: training faculty in utilizing SOUL (Silliman Online University Learning), its online distance learning platform, in preparation for SY 2020-2021; distribution of relief goods to its outsourced personnel; and distribution of face shields and masks to staff.
SU, through its Office of Student Services (OSS), also continues to assist stranded students to return to their hometowns and countries. OSS provided students with necessities such as food and hygiene kits.
Stranded student interns in Japan are also being assisted by the University.
